What an exciting end to Wave 1 of the Airmen Fight Cup for Street Fighter 6! We’re thrilled to officially announce that BustyJusty has joined Semiautomagic in punching their tickets to the Top 8 bracket!
The First Two are Locked In!
With the conclusion of this final qualifier, the current Wave of four tournaments has officially concluded. The field for the Top 8 is beginning to shape out, and the competition is looking strong! These two players are no strangers to competing at the highest level, as they were both top competitors for our inaugural Airmen Fight Cup, where a Servicemember from the United States Air Force won a trip to EVO 2025!
A Tiebreaker for the Ages
The action was intense right down to the wire! A major highlight of the final bracket was the tiebreaker match that determined the last qualifying spot. Our finalist, BustyJusty, faced off against SonofSparda, who took sat atop the leaderboards early on. Busty, however, entered in the final tournament of the Wave, and matched points with Sparda, initiating a Best of 5 match to see who would move on. In the end, it was BustyJusty who took it all with a 3-1 win, securing his place in the Top 8!
We can’t wait to see both Semiautomagic and BustyJusty compete against the best Street Fighter 6 players in the US Air Force and US Space Force during in the Finale event next year!
