What a ride Wave 1 of the Airmen Fight Cup has been! We’ve witnessed incredible skill, and the fierce competitive spirit that defines our Airmen and Guardians. As the dust settles on the final event of Wave 1, we’re thrilled to congratulate our first qualifier for the grand finale in Street Fighter 6: Semiautomagic! With SonofSparda and BustyJusty tying for 2nd, we are waiting for the results of the tiebreaker match to determine who is our 2nd qualifier. Stay tuned!
Semiautomagic’s journey through Wave 1 has been nothing short of spectacular, demonstrating a mastery of the sticks and an unyielding drive to win. We can’t wait to see what they bring to the finale! For those who competed alongside Semiautomagic, and for everyone who followed the action, thank you for making Wave 1 a resounding success.
We are also bidding farewell (for now) to Tekken 8 as a main game. While we have an incredibly active Tekken community, a large portion are stationed overseas, and we were unable to consistently bring tournament-ready CONUS players to the events. We love our Tekken community, and the incredible excitement the game brings. With that said, this will not be the last time we see it!
As one chapter closes, another exciting one begins! We are officially kicking off Wave 2 of the Airmen Fight Cup November 15th, and we’re bringing a brand new game to the forefront: 2XKO!
Get ready to experience the unique tag-team mechanics, dynamic combat, and fresh roster of champions that 2XKO has to offer. Whether you’re a seasoned fighting game veteran or a newcomer eager to test your mettle, 2XKO provides a fantastic opportunity to dive into a new competitive landscape. The community has a tremendous amount of positive feedback for it, and we’re incredibly excited to see the strategies, team compositions, and combos that our Airmen will unleash in this exciting new series.
